Entertainment 10:30am

Join us throughout the summer on Tuesdays  as we bring the show to the Library. Enjoy magicians, performances, and live animals. Check our calendar for specific acts!

Free Family Movie Matinees 10:30 and 1:00

Throughout the summer on Tuesdays, we will offer family movies. Check out our morning family friendly shows and our afternoon "for teens only" selections.  Popcorn and water will be available but feel free to bring your own snacks. Please note the rating on the featured movie when deciding to bring young children.

Reading Buddies 10:00-10:30

Readers through grade 4 should drop in on Wednesday mornings to listen to our teacher guest readers share their favorite books. Students will also have an opportunity to practice reading with an older student buddy. Each session they attend earns them a sticker, with a prize award after attending 4 sessions. If you are in grades 5 and up and are interested in volunteering to be an older buddy, applications are available to students at the library through June 15th. 

Frank the Reading Dog 10:30-12:00

Every Wednesday starting at 10:30-12:00, Frank, the Reading Dog will be available to sit with children to hear them read. Sign up is required and will be available the morning of each session. Kids can bring their own book, or use the ones we supply. 

Explorers Challenges 10:30-12:00

Join us on Wednesday mornings as we help you explore your creative side. Each week after reading buddies, you can accept our "explorer challenge project"  and make something with our cool resources. Ages 3 and up, under 7 with a helper.

Story Time 10:30-11:30

Explore the world of books through stories, songs, rhymes and learning centers. Geared toward ages 3 to 8 but older and younger are welcomed to attend. Ages 4 and under with an helper. Held every other Thursday and hosted by Early Learning Specialist Cheri Stainforth.
Make it! Missions 1:00-3:00

Join us every other Thursday as we host our popular Maker Workshop. Kids and adults of all ages will make creative space themed projects with everyday objects. They can take them home to play with all summer long. All ages welcomed, ages 7 and under with a helper.

Special Age Specific Events

Our calendar is full of events for all ages. Look for our Mosaic Tile, Galaxy T-shirt, and Slime Making class for Teens and our Friday Book Upcycling projects for adults. Continue to check our calendar throughout the summer for special events for specific age groups
